# Axiom.ai consultant: browser bots for systems with no usable API.

> SBD builds and supports Axiom.ai bots that read from and type into websites and portals your team still works through by hand, for teams of 5 to 1,000 people. Workflow automation builds start at $1,500, with the fixed price set after a $500 Automation Audit that is credited to the build.

## What an Axiom.ai expert from SBD builds

The usual starting point is a supplier portal, a government site or an old web app with no API, and someone on the team copying data out of it or keying data into it every day. An Axiom.ai bot does those clicks in a real browser, on your desktop or in its cloud.

A bot that runs is only part of the job. We check what it returns, because a bot can finish a run and still bring back the wrong column after a site changes its layout. Failed runs and empty results alert a named person, and the results go into a sheet, a database or the next step of a workflow.

We have not published a case study built on Axiom.ai, so we will not point you to one. The closest published work is our [six fixed-scope property automations on n8n](https://smallbaydigital.com/case-studies/rental-portfolio-automations/), which use the same approach to checks and alerts.

- Scrapers that pull listings, prices or records into Google Sheets or a database.
- Form entry that takes each row of a sheet or CSV and submits it to a web form.
- Daily reports read from several dashboards and sent to the team.
- Page monitors that alert someone when stock, price or status changes.
- Steps inside a larger [Make](https://smallbaydigital.com/integrations/tools/make/), [Zapier](https://smallbaydigital.com/integrations/tools/zapier/) or [n8n](https://smallbaydigital.com/integrations/tools/n8n/) workflow, for the one system those platforms cannot reach.

## When Axiom.ai is the right choice, and when it is not

Axiom.ai suits work that can only be done through a browser, runs at a modest volume, and does no harm if it pauses for a day while someone fixes it. Its no-code builder runs from a Chrome extension, so your team can read a bot and make small changes. Developers can drive its cloud browsers with Playwright or Puppeteer through the Chrome API, or trigger bots over REST through the Orchestrate API. Axiom.ai marks the code tools as beta, so we check what each one supports before relying on it.

A site can change its layout without warning, so every bot needs someone who notices and fixes it. Site terms matter too: some sites prohibit automated access, and personal data brings its own rules. We check both during scoping and tell you if a site should be left out.

- The system has a supported API; a direct integration is cheaper to run and less likely to break.
- The process moves money or files statutory returns, and a wrong click would be costly; keep a person approving each submission.
- The site blocks automation in its terms; ask the vendor for an export or API access first.
- Volume runs to many hours a day; compare the runtime cost with a small service in code.

## Axiom.ai plans, runtime and cloud limits

Axiom.ai charges by monthly runtime, so a slow site costs more than a fast one for the same number of rows. Desktop runs have no concurrency limit or time limit, but the computer has to be on. New accounts get two free hours of runtime with no card.

From Axiom.ai's pricing page in November 2026:

- **Starter:** $15 a month; 5 hours of runtime; 1 cloud bot at a time; 1 hour per cloud run.
- **Pro:** $50 a month; 30 hours; 1 cloud bot at a time; 2 hours per cloud run; daily cloud schedules; adds webhooks and the API, Zapier and Make, and run recording.
- **Pro Max:** $150 a month; 100 hours; 2 cloud bots at once; 3 hours per cloud run; hourly cloud schedules.
- **Ultimate:** $250 a month and up; from 250 hours; 20 cloud bots at once; 12 hours per cloud run; cloud schedules every 15 minutes; adds team accounts.

## How hiring an Axiom.ai consultant from SBD works

Every engagement starts with an [Automation Audit](https://smallbaydigital.com/services/audit/) at $500, credited in full to your build. For Axiom.ai we walk through the process with whoever does it today, look for an API or export that would remove the need for a bot, read the site terms, and estimate monthly runtime so the plan is sized before anything is built.

Workflow automation builds start at $1,500, and the fixed price is set after the audit and agreed before work begins. Your Axiom.ai subscription is paid by you to Axiom.ai. We do not resell licences.

## What you own, and what happens when a site changes

The Axiom.ai account, the bots and any saved logins stay in your name, and you receive a runbook for each bot covering what it does, what it reads and writes, how to run it by hand and what to do when it fails.

When a site changes, the bot needs repairing, so we agree before launch who does that. Your team can fix small changes in the builder, or we can keep it running under a support plan.
