Sales Channel Inventory Sync
Unified product data across Shopify, eBay, and Chrono24 for a fast-growing D2C reseller - eliminating manual updates and inventory mismatches across platforms.
The Challenge
A fast-growing D2C watch reseller was managing operations across multiple online sales channels. Each platform had its own format for product attributes (titles, prices, availability), which required separate manual updates - leading to operational overload and delays in launching new products.
Key pain points: no single source of truth for inventory and product data, each sales channel had its own formatting rules and catalogue standards, product updates had to be done manually on each platform, high risk of out-of-stock products still being listed, and no visibility into what's live where.
What We Built
A custom backend tool built on SmartSuite that gives the business one control panel for all product operations. Update a listing once, and it pushes to every storefront in real time via Make.com automation workflows.
The system includes product CRUD workflows, sales channel sync from Shopify to SmartSuite, and integrations with Shopify APIs, eBay APIs, HubSpot APIs, and Chrono24 APIs via Missive App.
The Results
80% reduction in time spent updating product details across platforms. Zero inventory mismatch cases reported in the last 90 days. 2x faster product launch time. Team can now launch across platforms in under 20 minutes vs. 2-3 hours before.
Behind the Scenes
We mapped every platform's quirks with the client team — eBay's listing rules differ wildly from Shopify's and Chrono24's. We reverse-engineered their existing listings to clean, tag, and unify them under one schema flexible enough for new channels later. Custom logic handles image resizing and meta generation per platform.
