Building materials order management system
The custom-coded successor to the Retool system in the order and dispatch case study. Enquiries from the website and the team become orders, loading slips, cash bills and Zoho Books invoices, with warehouses, transporters, vehicles and their payments in the same app and WhatsApp updates at each step.

The story
Before and after.
Before
- A Retool system that had done its job and outgrown the platform
- The website enquiry workflow switched off, filling every quantity with 100 and placeholder prices
- A messaging key written inside app queries
After
- Enquiries from the website arrive with their real quantities and prices
- One custom app with the data moved across from Retool
- Keys held as secrets, and every change in an audit log
What success looks like
- Every enquiry becomes an order, slip, bill or invoice without retyping
- Warehouse keepers and transporters hear about a load the moment it is ready
- Cash outstanding is one number on the dashboard
What changed for the team
Sales, warehouse and accounts work in one system, with a command palette and split views for the people who live in it all day.
How we support it
The second system SBD has built for this business: the first, on Retool, is the order and dispatch case study.
Care plans start at $50 a month.
